Custodial history

Scope and content

This fonds consists primarily of photocopies of correspondence between members of the Murchison and MacLean families of Point Prim as well as several documents relating to the career of Captain Samuel MacLean. The documents span the time period 1846 to 1884 with the exception of a hand-written genealogy of the MacLean family, presumably compiled by Ann Alexander, great-granddaughter of Capt. Samuel MacLean, before 1978. There is also a transcript and printout of a digital scan of an 1877 letter. The transcript was done by Ann Alexander in 2013.
