History

In 1918, the directors of the PEI Co-operative Egg and Poultry Association met, and reorganized their association by changing their constitution and name to the "Canadian Farm Products Limited." The first President of this new association was Reverend P. P. Arsenault from Mount Carmel. In 1919, the Canadian Farm Products Limited was one of three groups to endorse the idea of establishing a central dairy in Charlottetown, and in that same year they formed a joint stock company on the co-operative plan. In 1920, they established the Good Seed Association and Live Stock Association of PEI. This company, which dealt with wholesale and retail goods, was located on 139 Kent Street in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island in the 1920s.
