Biographical history
Christ Church in Cherry Valley, Prince Edward Island, served the Anglican congregation of the surrounding area including Lots 49 and 50, China Point, Georgetown Road, Mt. Stewart and Millview. The church was built in 1843 under the direction of Frederick Downes Panter, first rector of the Church who also served the Georgetown Parish. The church was active still active in 2008.

Scope and content
The fonds consists of the following records from Christ Church: Baptisms: 1841-1979 (including an index from 1841-1883), Marriages, 1842-1976, and Deaths, 1854-1976. It also contains Confirmations from 1901-1952 and accounts of the Arch-Deacon's visitations in 1889 and 1893. The second reel of microfilm contains: Women's Auxiliary Minute books for the years 1903-1905, 1925-1932, 1935, and 1960-1986; volumes of Annual Meetings for the years 1902-1945 and 1957-1988; Treasuer's books, 1925-1934 and 1960-1973; and Vestry books, 1925-1949 and 1952-1996.
