Clorinda (MacDonald) Craswell was a resident of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. She was the daughter of Alex MacDonald of Montague, Prince Edward Island, and sister to Senator Elsie Inman. Clorinda was married to the Oliver Cleveland Craswell (1892-1966), a photographer for whom she acted as assistant. They operated Craswell Portrait Studios in Charlottetown from approximately 1924 until Cleve's death in 1966.

Title based on creator of the collection
This collection consists of 13 images of Island scenes, landmarks, and individuals. Craswell appears to have been the photographer of most of the images although many are copy prints of earlier photographs, some pre-1900. Item 23.1-13 was taken by William Cumming, a Montague photographer.
This material was loaned to the Garden of the Gulf Museum on 21 July 1957
