Biographical history

Donald K. MacLennan was born in Hartsville, Prince Edward Island, on 20 March 1875. He married Margaret MacKenzie (b. 1877) on 1 July 1904. Some time following their marriage, the couple moved to the Quincy, Massachusetts where MacLennan practiced his trade of granite polisher. He became an American citizen in 1907 and died on 4 January 1964. The MacLennans had a son Murdoch, born 1905 and a daughter, Janet, born 1907.

Margaret MacKenzie was born in Rose Valley, Prince Edward Island, on 17 August 1877. She married Donald K. MacLennan (1875-1964) of Hartsville on 1 July 1904. Some time following their marriage, the couple moved to the Quincy, Massachusetts, where MacLennan practiced his trade of granite polisher. He became an American citizen in 1907 and died on 4 January 1964. The MacLennans had a son Murdoch, born 1905 and a daughter, Janet, born 1907.

This collection consists of a wedding photograph of Donald Kenneth MacLennan and Margaret MacKenzie, 1 June 1904. The suit Mr. MacLennan is wearing was made by S. A. MacDonald & Co. of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.
