Scope and content

This collection consists of photographs and materials relating to the military career and family of Ernest "Bunny" Weeks, 1896-1987. Several of the photographs are of Ernest Weeks' father W. A. Weeks and of Ernest Weeks, some being portraits of them in uniform and others as members of formal or informal military groups. One photograph is of Prince George of Wales (later King George V) and cricket players including Major W. A. Weeks, in Victoria Park, accompanied by a newspaper article of 1939. Individuals are identified in some of the photographs through accompanying notes and materials. Included is a certificate of active service in the Canadian Army of 12 March 1947, listing Ernest Weeks' orders, decorations, medals and commendations.
