Administrative history
The Fredericton Women's Institute was organized 20 September 1921 in Fredericton, Prince Edward Island.. The Hazel Grove Women's Institute was established 27 October 1922. Both institutes functioned independently for many years. In June of 1978 the decision was taken to amalgamate the two institutes into the Fredericton/Hazel Grove Women's Institute.

The fonds consists of minute books (1921-1994) and annual reports (1934, 1940-43, 1956, 1963-67) of the Fredericton Women's Institute and two minute books of the Hazel Grove Women's Institute from ca. 1935-1941 and 1964-1972.
