Theopolis Moore (1842-1913) was one of the children of George Moore (1817-1875) and his wife Eliza Chappel (1819-1887) of Stratford, Prince Edward Island. George Moore was the treasurer on the brigantine Fanny

Scope and content

A letter written by George Moore of Stratford, Prince Edward Island to his son Theopolis Moore on 30 April 1864. Moore describes conditions which prevented him from sending a letter sooner, including the icy conditions in the Gulf which limited transportation between PEI and the mainland. The letter also relates good wishes from Theopolis's mother, and George's own wishes for God's protection and guidance of his son.
