History

104th Regiment of Foot, known as the New Brunswick Regiment until 1810, was stationed on the Island from 1804 until 1814 as part of the Garrison of Prince Edward Island. Commanding Officers of the regiment included Lt. Rankin, Captain Gereau, Captain Shore, and Captain Christian. In 1812-1813, the regiment was under the command of Colonel M. Hunter who was stationed in New Brunswick.
