History

Hiram Howatt was born to Wilson and Rachel Howatt in 1890. Hiram was a cyclist in the Senior Road Racing Group and spent some time in western Canada prior to his marriage to Wanda Lea (1902-1989), daughter of Brenton and Blanche (Lord) Lea. The couple had three children including Doreen, Blanche, and Lea Erskine. The Howatt family lived on the corner of Prince and Euston Streets, and later on Kings Square in Charlottetown. Hiram died 21 October 1964 at the age of seventy-four.
