The fonds consists of Laura Bisaillon's thesis entitled "The Effects of External Decisions on a Rural Community: The Greater Rustico Area, Prince Edward Island" which she wrote for her Masters in Urban Planning at McGill University, Montreal, Quebec in 1997. Bisaillon's thesis examines the effect of the 1956 Rustico-Robinson Island Causeway on the natural and human communities in the area. The fonds also contains Bisaillon's research materials including interview notes, local and national media sources, federal correspondence, local opinion, ten photographs of Rustico-Robinson Island from the 1970s, and photocopies of maps and plans. The majority of these records are from the period 1951 to 1997.
