Rev. James P. Lawson, a native of Windsor, Ontario is an ordained minister of the United Church of Canada currently serving the Hudson, Quebec Pastoral Charge in team ministry with his wife Rev. Sheila Murray. Expanding an interest in genealogy to the wider realm of Scottish immigration to Prince Edward Island, Rev. Lawson has spent considerable time researching Scottish public documents and has written several articles which have appeared in genealogical publications and the "Island magazine".
