History

Athol M. MacKinnon, a resident of Montague, Prince Edward Island, was the son of Lauchie and Addie (MacDonald) MacKinnon. He served in the navy in World War II and lived the Canadian North for a few years after the war before returning to the Island. He was known as Montague's Historian. Athol, along with his sister Olga and brother Eric, owned and operated the Montague Furnishing Co. which had been in their family since the late 1800's.
