Angus Alexander Maclean (1854-1946) was the eldest son of William MacLean (1827-?) of Point Prim and Flora MacLean (1836-?) formerly of Belfast. A. A. was educated at the Belfast district school, Prince of Wales College, and Harvard Law School. A.A.'s first wife, a daughter of John Yeo, died in 1897. His second wife was Frances H. Longworth of Charlottetown. A.A was a member of the Legislative Assembly (1888-1890) and in 1894 was appointed Queens Counsel.
