Scope and content

The collection consists of reproductions from jpeg format of two photographs of "Maplethorpe", the home built by Major Wright (1830-1907) in Centreville, Bedeque, Prince Edward Island. The original images, thought to have been taken around 1900, were inscribed on the back as follows by Millicent Wright, Major Wright's daughter:

"Maplethorpe", Bedeque, PEI, Tennis court and Summer House

"Maplethorpe", Bedeque, Looking towards the garden and orchard

The house was still standing in 1999 and has changed little in exterior appearance.
