History
The Meteorological Service of Canada maintained an observation station in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, at least between 1873 and 1886. It's exact location is unknown. Weather observers documented daily changes in weather, recorded storm activities, created abstracts of their observations, and sent weekly telegram or post card summaries to the Magnetic Observatory, in Toronto, Ontario. The station in Charlottetown appears to have been operated by Henry J. Cundall between 1873 and 1874 while an individual with the initials M. R. recorded observations between 1875 and 1880. It is unknown who oversaw the station until 1886.
