Michael O. McKenna was a farmer who lived and conducted business in Lot 58, Prince Edward Island, in the community of Montague Cross (now Iona) in the late 18th and early 20th centuries. He and his wife Mary Rooney had the following children: Catherine, John, Mary, Michael, Peter, and Owen J.
Michael O. McKenna was a farmer who lived and conducted business in Lot 58, Prince Edward Island, in the community of Montague Cross (now Iona) in the late 18th and early 20th centuries. His land holdings also consisted of a farm in Lot 50 in the community of Orwell. He died 1 April 1921 at the age of 72.

Title based on provenance of the fonds
This fonds consists of a ledger and daybook regarding the business dealings of Michael McKenna. The ledger records accounts paid and owing for the period 1890 to 1901 and is organized by the names of individuals. The daybook is organized chronologically and lists what was bought and the method of payment for the period of 1891 to 1908. Additionally, there are accounting notations for the years 1909-1912, 1915, 1918 and 1919. There are also two conveyances regarding the transfer of a farm located in Lot 50 from Michael and his wife Mary to three of their sons and an agreement of sale between the brothers John and Owen.
