PEI Collection and UPEI Archives
P.E.I. Collection:
The establishment of the Prince Edward Island Collection in 1971 was made possible by the St. Dunstan's University Alumni Association. The PEI Collection includes a book and periodical component, containing more than 13,000 volumes. These volumes are either about Prince Edward Island, written by PEI authors or published on the Island. Also included in the PEI collection are government reports, a collection of maps and charts pertaining to the Province, and a large collection of current and historical newspapers on microfilm which are partially indexed.
University Archives:
Operating within the Special Collections area, the University Archives acquires selectively publications and records of UPEI and its antecedents, St. Dunstan's University and Prince of Wales College.These collections include course calendars, campus newspapers and yearbooks, faculty publications, student theses AND honours papers, lecture recordings, university reports, publications of the Institute of Island Studies, and a limited quantity of archival records.
