Administrative history
The Stanley Bridge Dairying Company was incorporated by a private statute of 1893 (Cap. 16) for the manufacture, purchase, and sale of butter and cheese. Milk and cream was collected from patrons on up to eleven routes in the district surrounding Stanley Bridge. This was turned into cheese and butter which the company then sold. Cheese making ceased after the 1934 season but butter continued to be produced until the 1940s.

Scope and content
The fonds consists of annual statements of the Stanley Bridge Dairying Company from 1927-1937, 1944. Statements contain names of directors and officers. Patrons are listed with the amount and value of the milk or cream supplied. They also contain a summary of the cheese and butter seasons as well as an account of receipts and disbursements. The fonds also contains the 1932 statement of the Progress Egg Circle.
