Scope and content

The fonds consists of the records of the Tryon Peoples' Cemetery for the period 1919-1988. These records include minutes, financial records, correspondence, records of internment for the period 1921-1958, and drafts of the Tryon Peoples' Cemetery petition for incorporation. The fonds also contains an historical sketch of the cemetery prepared by Betty and Everett Howatt and Jack Sorensen, dated February 1999.
