History

R. (Russell) Gordon White was born 31 July 1906 to Russell E. White and Mina May Fraser. He was baptized 30 June 1907 at Zion Presbyterian Church in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. R. Gordon was an engineer with the Province of Prince Edward Island and served as Deputy Minister for the Department of Public Works and Highways between 1948 and 1965. R. Gordon was an avid photographer and an active member of the Charlottetown Camera Club, a local photography group which flourished between 1954 and 1968. R. Gordon White died 17 November 1979 at the Ottawa Civic Hospital, Ottawa, Ontario, at the age of 73. He was interred at the Sherwood Cemetery, Sherwood, PEI.
