Zonta International, organized in 1919, is a service organization of business and professional women. The Zonta Club of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, held its organizing meeting 1 November 1962. The following executive was elected by written ballot: Evelyn Cudmore (president), Mabel Matheson (vice president), Laura Kitchen (secretary) and Anna Riley (treasurer). The chapter participated in blood donor clinics, contributed to various charities, sponsored scholarships for qualified women, published several booklets, organized defensive driving courses and provided innumerable community services. The Zonta Club of Charlottetown disbanded in June of 2006 due to lack of interest, as the membership had dwindled to seven members.

This series consists of minutes of annual, board, general, and dinner meetings. The type of meetings may vary from file to file. There are often financial statements and proposed budgets included in the files. Files of minutes from 1999 through 2006 also contain correspondence.
This series consists of annual reports of two different formats. The files from the 1960s and 1970s are informal and may contain correspondence as well as information concerning the year’s activities. Later reports are more consistent in format and generally include the following records: a report to Zonta Club International detailing membership, contributions, corporate administration, program administration and activities of the club; the President's annual report outlining the year's activities; and a variety of other documents relating to the year's events. The latter documents may include programmes, by-laws, newspaper clippings, conference reports, workshop reports and photographs of the activities.
Budget and financial statements are often filed in Series 1: Minutes
This series contains two ledgers which record payment of membership dues on individual membership cards from 1963 to 1985 and cash disbursements and receipts from 1985 to 1996.
This series consists of club directories from 1981 to 2000 (directories are missing for 1986/87, 1989/90, 1991/92 and 2000/01). Also included in this series are a 1999/2000 membership kit and miscellaneous lists of members, officers and committee chairs.
Membership information (particularly for the club's early years) is also contained in Series 3: Financial ledgers
This series consists of newsletters of the Zonta Club of Charlottetown and some of its sister clubs, as well as some of the newsletters produced by Zonta International. Also included in this series are copies of books and other titles produced and/or published by the Zonta Club of Charlottetown and, in one instance, the accounts relating to the publication.
