A project of the Canadian archival community is the development of Archives Canada (formerly known as CAIN). This network provides a searchable database of archival descriptions from across Canada. Descriptions of archival holdings of numerous archives in Canada are accessible to all through the the Archives Canada database. This database includes a description of the records only. Researchers are asked to contact the institution holding the records for more information.
