Historique
Edward James Jarvis was a lawyer, notary, office holder, judge, and politician in Prince Edward Island. Born in 1788 in Saint John, New Brunswick, he was the youngest son of Munson Jarvis and Mary Arnold. In January of 1813, he sailed from St. John to London, England, where he continued his legal studies, remaining there until 1816. He married twice: first to Anna Maria Boyd of St. John, New Brunswick on the 29 April 1817, and then to Elizabeth Gray of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island on the 12 December 1843. Edward died on the 9 May 1852.
