Scope and content
This subseries consists of 11 volumes which record the sums of money collected by the County Court of Kings County for various administrative services. The initials G. A. A. appear on the covers of the first 7 volumes and refer to George A. Aitken who was the clerk of the County Court during that time period. The initials of a later clerk, W. S. Easton, are also on the cover of Volume 7. These volumes record "Account Fees Received in County Court" including such information as date, name of the person (or account), what the fee was for, amount of the payment, and total of the amounts on each page. Volumes 8-11 also include a suit number, a break down of types of fees, and the totals of the amounts remitted to Provincial Treasurer. Volumes 9 and 10 include fees collected by the deputy prothonatary as well.
