Biographical history

John Joe Sark, a Micmac Indian, was born and lived on Prince Edward Island. He held several civil service positions with the Island government and was strongly involved in defending and promoting the rights of his people both provincially and federally.

Scope and content

The collection consists of a newsletter on the Lennox Island Indian Act revision submitted to the Lennox Island Band members by John Joe Sark and several photographs of Lennox Island Micmacs including Chief John Thomas, baseball and hockey teams and St. Ann's Church.
