Biographical history

Dorothy Forsythe is the daughter of Florence Newbery and Fred I. Andrews, and the granddaughter of Arthur Newbery, one time Provincial Secretary of Prince Edward Island, landscape designer of Queen Square, and photographer. She married Dr. Robert Forsythe and lives in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.

Scope and content

The collection consists of two photographs, one of the wedding party of Alice May Sullivan and William Lewis Scott outside St. Dunstan's Cathedral, 31 July 1900, and one of Professor Charles M. Wright and his students, ca. 1907-8. Alice May Sullivan was the daughter of William Wilfred Sullivan, Premier and Chief Justice of Prince Edward Island and Alice Maude Newbery. She married William Lewis Scott of Ottawa, the son of R.W. Scott, Secretary of State, on July 31, 1900 in St. Dunstan's Cathedral, Charlottetown. Professor Charles M. Wright was a teacher of music in Charlottetown.

Also included is a wedding invitation for the Sullian/Scott wedding and a newspaper clipping about the wedding as well as an invitation to the marriage of Adele Mary Marion Sullivan (Alice's sister) to William Henry Sullivan.
