Biographical history

Dr. David Roy Fraser, the son of Charles Fraser of Montague, Prince Edward Island, received his medical degree from McGill University in 1906. In that same year he established his medical practice in Montague at the residence of C.B. Fraser. In 1910 he married Nellie Grace Aiken of Providence, Rhode Island. He was Secretary of the Montague Lodge and Health officer for Montague. He played a prominent part in the Minnie McGee murder trial and died shortly thereafter.

Scope and content

The fonds consists of the following series: correspondence from Roy Fraser to Nellie (Aiken) Fraser, 1906-1913; academic records, 1900-1905; and biographical information, 1897-1914. The academic records include documents pertaining to Roy Fraser's academic life at McGill University, i.e. correspondence from the University and examination results. The biographical information series consists of daily journals and accounts of Roy Fraser.
