Biographical history

Eville Gorham and his wife Ada MacLeod live in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Ada, born in Summerside, Prince Edward Island on 12 March 1923, is the daughter of Norman MacLeod (1887-1958) and Sarah Hannah Ching (1895-1941) and granddaughter of Neil MacLeod (1853-1934) and Ada Ramsey (1867-1932).

Scope and content

The collection consists of four identified photographs. The image of Hedley Lesorde was taken by A. G. Walford of Montreal, Quebec. The remaining three images were taken by Prince Edward Island photographers. The photograph of Gertrude and Amy Frizzell (ca. 1882) was taken by Clark & Bowness of Summerside, the image of Dr. McNally (ca. 1890s) was taken at the Bowness Studio in Summerside, and the image of Rev. James W. McKenzie (ca. 1877-1881) was taken by photographer C. (Cyrus) Lewis of Charlottetown.
