Biographical history

George Dunsford went overseas with the 17th Reserve during W.W.I where he was stationed at Aldershot and Bramshott, England. At the latter location he was an orderly in a large hospital. He was overseas approximately one year, never reaching France because of an injury to his knee. He returned from England on the Mauritania. He later resided in the Garden Home in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.

Scope and content

The collection consists of two photographic prints made from the originals. One is a portrait of George Dunsford in his World War I uniform. The other is of an unidentified military group of W.W. I vintage. The only identified member of the group is Martin MacDonald of Rocky Point, front row, extreme left.
