Custodial history

The photographs and textual records in this fonds were kept by Mona herself, by colleagues and friends at the Red Cross, and by family members. They were acquired from these various sources between 1978 and 1999. With the exception of letters written to her brother and sister-in-law late in her life, these materials had generally been kept in envelopes bearing general titles and having no particular order. Originally they formed three different accessions within the holdings of the Public Archives and Records Office: Acc3028, Acc3652, and Acc4255. These collections have been pulled together to form this fonds with no attempt to maintain a separation between the original accessions.
