This subseries consists of correspondence and financial papers created by or transmitted to Colin Macdonald and which span the years 1818 to 1855. Much of the documentation relates to Colin’s payments for his half pay from the British Army and are dealings with Greenwood & Co., the company responsible for distributing the payments. Other documents include letters to Watson and Macdonald, a Liverpool company with which Colin and his family had business dealings, and correspondence with various family members regarding their interests in Georgetown, Lot 8, and other lands in Prince Edward Island. These papers are arranged in chronological order.
