Osborn, William
Biographical history
William Osborn was born 17 September 1883 in Cowgate, Silloth, England where he entered the Wesleyan Methodist Church about 1902. He removed to the United States in 1907. By 1915, Rev. Osborn was the minister of the Methodist Episcopal Church in Ludlow, Massachusetts. Osborn preached in various Methodist churches in Massachusetts until about 1950, when Rev. and Mrs. Susan B. (MacLellan) Osborn removed to Summerside, Prince Edward Island. From 1951 to 1956 Osborn ministered at the Wellington United Church pastoral charge comprising Victoria West, Wellington and Union Corner United Churches. Rev. William Osborn died 31 January 1964 and is buried at Victoria West Peoples Cemetery.

Scope and content
The fonds consists of 11 file folders containing several volumes of sermons and notes by Rev. William Osborn; diaries recording visits and sermons notes for the years 1941, 1942 and 1947; manuscripts entitled "The saloon in relation to community" and "The gospel according to Burns" and a file folder of poems. Also included in the fonds are memorial cards for Osborn family members dating 1902, 1904 and 1922; an image of Rev. and Mrs. Osborn, circa 1950s; and a 1915 Directory and Manual of the Methodist Episcopal Church of Ludlow, Massachusetts which includes an image of Rev. William Osborn.
