Custodial history

Scope and content

This fonds consists of an album of 58 photographs and 20 glass plates, the work of A. W. Mitchell. There are also two mounted photographs by G. H. Cook and J. A. S. Bayer respectively. The images from the album are typical Mitchell subjects including scenes and buildings in Charlottetown, individuals, Mi'kmaq people, shore, and camping scenes. The glass plate negatives for many of these images are already in the possession of PARO. This has been noted on the item listing which follows. The glass plates in this fonds are all individual portraits, many of which appear to be family members.
