Magasin de Clovis Gaudet. Début de l'opération du magasin, vers 1890. Le magasin était situé à Baie-Egmont (Île-du-Prince-Édouard) près de l'église, dans la maison de Clovis Gaudet et Jacqueline Arsenault. En ce temps-là, on appelait le magasin « la shop ». Clovis Gaudet, né le 28 août 1875, fils de Joseph Gaudet et Julienne Arsenault, est décédé le 30 juillet 1944 à l'âge de 69 ans. Clovis et Jacqueline étaient les parents de 16 enfants : Rosella, Antoine, Eufreda, Béatrice, Julienne, Stanislaus, Udulric, Ernest, Rita, Edmond, Augustin, Marc, Céofride, François, Florence et Joseph. Clovis Gaudet était aussi propriétaire d'une factorie à homard, sur la côte près du cimetière de Baie-Egmont. Sources : Joseph Gaudet; Fonds Magasin de Clovis Gaudet.

Le fonds témoigne des activités du magasin de Clovis Gaudet, à Baie-Egmont (Île-du-Prince-Édouard), pour la période 1895 à 1905. Le fonds comprend un grand livre du magasin ainsi qu'une photo de Clovis Gaudet, un Acadien de Baie-Egmont.
