Scope and content
The Young People’s Society or Union was formed in 1926 under the direction of Rev. E. M. Aitken. This group met on a regular basis and held debates and other literary activities. Many of the social activities organized by the Young People’s Society were for “members only,” but they also held fund raising events which were open to non-members. These fund raising efforts included a variety of projects, from amateur dramatics to weighing parties. The group made regular contributions to a variety of worthy causes and in 1956 purchased a piano for the church.
This subseries consists of the minutes of the Young People's Society for the period 1885 to 1961.
