This subseries consists of one ledger kept by J. Spencer Smith, Treasurer, between 1840 and 1845. This volume was used to record financial transactions involving various government accounts including the interest account, attorney general, small disbursements, bears and loupcerviers, interest on warrants, land assessment, crown lands, surplus money, and Government House. The first section of the ledger appears to function as a Treasurer's account book. The volume is indexed.
