This subseries consists of 20 accounting journals kept by the Provincial Treasurer or Provincial Secretary-Treasurer between approximately 1850 and 1929. These volumes were used to record the debits and credits of financial transactions made on behalf of the provincial government. Information documented includes date, name of person(s) involved in transaction, reason, for transaction, and amount. These volumes contain similar information as the day books although they are better written and organized. Also included are references to the Ledgers.
